Nidec Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1973, specialized in the development, manufacturing, and sales of small precision motors, automotive motors, home appliance motors, commercial and industrial motors, motors for machinery, electronic and optical components, and other related products. Nidec Electric Motor Serbia was established in Serbia in 2021.
We are looking for:
- Experienced accounting professional with a proactive approach and high visibility in the organization
- A detail-oriented person with strong leadership skills
- Responsible person dedicated to reinforcement of company financial position
Your responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating accounting team
- Coordinating preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant international and local accounting standards
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments
- Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger (GL), ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified
- Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Inventory and fixed assets accounting
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll in coordination with the HR department
- Manage bank reconciliations and maintain optimal cash flow reporting
- Ensure strict adherence to local tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax, etc.) and timely filing of all required tax returns.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, serving as the primary liaison.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure reliability of financial data.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and regulatory requirements
Our requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar accounting roles
- Professional accounting certification would be considered as advantage
- Knowledge of local and international accounting regulations and standards
- Strong proficiency with SAP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles specific to production/inventory
- Experience in manufacturing companies is an advantage (not a requirement)
- Advanced knowledge of English
