3. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

When you visit our websites, our web servers will routinely store the IP address allotted to you by your Internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting us, our websites that you visit, as well as the date and duration of your visit. Personal data that we need only for processing your application will be stored only if you voluntarily provide us with this data in the course of your application. Your personal information and data will be collected and stored with utmost diligence and integrity and be used only for the intended purpose. The provisions of the GDPR and other country-specific data protection provisions will be observed. Your personal data will be processed only in connection with the application and only to the extent necessary for this in each case.

4. Use and Passing-on of Personal Data

You agree to the processing and transfer of your data exclusively for the application process. You affirm that the information provided by you is truthful. You are also aware that the provision of false information could lead to the dissolution of a possible employment relationship. Your data will not be passed on to third parties outside of the company, unless statutory provisions necessitate this. We transfer personal data to state institutions and authorities only if we are legally obliged to do so. Our employees are bound to confidentiality and to data secrecy.
After your data has been entered and transferred, it will arrive at our external service provider's server directly via an encrypted connection. 5. Use of Cookies

We use cookies to track visitor preferences and to enable us to optimise the design of our websites. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer when you visit our website. You can erase these cookies at any time if you so wish. However, this may lead to individual features being no longer available to you. For information on how to erase the cookies, please refer to your browser's Help feature.

Should any provision of this Privacy Policy be invalid, contrary to law or unenforceable, such provision shall count as amended or restricted to the extent required to turn it into a valid, lawful and enforceable provision. Should such an amendment or restriction prove to be impossible, the validity of the Privacy Policy shall remain unaffected by the invalidity of one or more of the present provisions.

6. Web analysis by Matomo (formerly PIWIK)

On our website, we use the open-source software tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK) for analysing our users' surfing behaviour. The software uses a cookie on the users' computer (see above relating to cookies). The following data will be stored when individual pages of our website are accessed:

  • the website accessed
  • the website from which the user arrived at the website accessed
  • the subsites accessed from the website accessed
  • the duration of the visit to the website
  • the frequency with which the website is accessed
  • two bytes of the IP address of the user's system accessing the website.

In this respect, the software runs exclusively on our website's servers. The users' personal data is stored only there. The data will not be passed on to third parties.
The software has been set in such a way that the IP addresses are not fully stored; instead, 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (example:  192.168.xxx.xxx). This makes it no longer possible to link the truncated IP address to the computer accessing the website.

7. Data Security

Your data will be hosted at a provider by way of commissioned processing in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. Both NIDEC MOTORS & ACTUATORS (Germany) GmbH and the provider use technical and organisational security measures to protect your collected data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss and destruction as well as against access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures will be continually improved in accordance with technological developments.

8. Accessing, alteration and erasure of Data

On request, we shall be happy to inform you, in accordance with applicable law, of whether and what personal data concerning you will be stored with us in connection with the application.

After the application process has ended, or if revocation is declared, your data will be erased in accordance with the respective applicable statutory provisions. However, your data will, unless you are hired, be erased no later than 6 months after the transfer of your data. The data will then be permanently erased. If your data is of interest for other job offers, we shall request your consent to the storage of your data beyond the 6-month period.

9. Final Provisions relating to the application process

By clicking on the field "I accept the electronic storage of my data in accordance with the data protection directives" and ticking the box, you consent to these provisions and give your agreement to the storage and use of your data made available to us. German law will apply to all relations ensuing between you and NIDEC MOTORS & ACTUATORS (Germany) GmbH, or its affiliates, from this Data Privacy Statement.
If any provision in this Data Privacy Statement proves to be ineffective, unlawful or inoperable, such provision will be deemed amended or limited to the extent necessary in order to turn it into an effective, lawful and operable provision. If such amendment or limitation is not possible, any ineffectiveness of one or more of the existing provisions will not affect the validity of this Data Privacy Statement.
