Project Buyer

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the sourcing process for the supply of components for new projects
• Works with Nidec Global Buyers to identify the best source of supply for new components
• Ensures components are available for prototype motor production on time, until PPAP's are signed
• Oversees the start-up process of component production at the supplier on time
• Responsible for achieving the cost target for new components
• Looks for opportunities to reduce component prices by making technical changes at the design stage
• Coordinates the component validation process with other departments
• Responsible that supplier is signing NDA, LOI and Logistic Protocol
• Ensures the implementation of the results of negotiations with suppliers (ensures prices and invoices are in line with the terms of the agreement)
• With the support of SQA/CE improves supplier quality through regular meetings with suppliers
• Ensures correctness and completeness of all purchasing data in SAP
• Accepts invoices for payment
• Implements and complies with purchasing procedures

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree in Economics or similar field
• 3 and more years of relevant work experience
• Work experience in automotive industry will be considered as an asset
• Good command of English language
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with SAP would be considered as an asset
